AI Research Scientist

• Help translate the latest machine learning research into practical, domain-specific proofs of concept (POCs)
• Work on the CivCheck platform, building and experimenting with cutting-edge models across computer vision, large language models (LLMs), multi-modal learning, and agentic AI workflows
• Bridge the gap between academic innovation and real-world application — reading and implementing research papers, testing emerging architectures, and collaborating with senior ML engineers to turn prototypes into production-ready systems
• Design and conduct experiments to validate research ideas, define test metrics/ hypotheses, and evaluate model performance
• Apply research to specific computer vision problem domains, tailoring architectures and training strategies for best results on complex unstructured data
• Tailor and apply foundational ML techniques to real-world datasets and use cases
• Collaborate with engineering teams on model deployment, monitoring and enhancement
• Contribute to internal research documentation and share findings with the broader AI team
• Identify and prototype potential improvements to our AI systems based on current literature
• Stay up-to-date on new research, benchmarks, and techniques in computer vision, generative AI, NLP, and multimodal learning
• Participate in team discussions on model evaluation, interpretability, and performance trade-offs
