About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the multidisciplinary functional engineering team to achieve technical product delivery targets according to project schedule, development cost, and bill of material
  • Drive and verify engineering activities across the product life cycle and V-model, including requirements, development, integration, testing, and manufacturing handoff
  • Lead the product engineering team to achieve technical, functional, BoM, timing, and industrialization targets
  • Ensure required product maturity throughout the product life cycle
  • Approve and release the product bill of material
  • Serve as technical interface to program management, supply chain, manufacturing, quality, commercial teams, and external customers
  • Organize cross-functional team meetings and drive agendas
  • Prepare technical decision options for change control boards and management escalations
  • Plan technical work packages according to the overall project schedule
  • Plan and execute product/system releases
  • Manage sample planning, engineering build management, and sample release
  • Interface with manufacturing to realize sample builds
  • Release engineering documentation to manufacturing plants for sample builds

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
  • Minimum of 10 years’ project execution experience, including product launch
  • Minimum of 5 years in automotive electronics and software product development
  • Domain knowledge in automotive electronics, software, and mechanical systems
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams
  • MBA or master’s in systems engineering, software, or electrical engineering preferred
  • 15 years of project execution experience preferred
  • 5 years’ experience in propulsion domain preferred
  • 3 years in the eMobility space preferred
  • Willingness to travel 20%
