About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Draft, review and negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring they comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide legal advice to senior management and various business units on legal and regulatory matters.
- Manage the company’s litigation portfolio, ensuring effective defense of Claranet’s interests in judicial and arbitration proceedings.
- Monitor and analyze changes in legislation and regulation that may affect the company’s operations, proposing necessary updates to internal policies.
- Collaborate with compliance and governance teams to ensure Claranet meets all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and review legal documents, including memoranda, legal opinions and internal policies, ensuring clarity and compliance with legal standards.
- Manage relationships with external law firms, ensuring the quality and efficiency of services provided.
- Participate in the definition and implementation of legal risk mitigation strategies, aligning them with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Deliver internal legal training to ensure all employees are aware of their legal and regulatory obligations.
- Report to senior management on legal and regulatory matters, providing analyses and recommendations to minimize legal risk and protect the company’s interests.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Law
- Postgraduate degree or specialization in related areas is desirable
- Advanced certifications in corporate law, compliance and contracts are highly desirable
- Experience in corporate law, legal risk management and compliance; participation in advanced courses is a plus
