About the role
- Implement and manage cloud infrastructure, ensuring platform availability and performance.
- Monitor the cloud environment to proactively identify and resolve infrastructure issues.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to plan and implement cloud infrastructure improvements.
- Participate in defining and implementing security and compliance policies and procedures for cloud infrastructure.
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams on the effective use of cloud infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for cloud infrastructure, ensuring information is up to date and accessible.
- Configure and optimize cloud resources to meet project and operational demands.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in cloud computing, applying this knowledge to improve Claranet's operations.
- Participate in incident response for cloud infrastructure, collaborating with security and IT teams to mitigate impacts and restore normal operations.
- Ensure all cloud infrastructure activities comply with Claranet’s internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related fields. Postgraduate degree or specialization in related areas is desirable.
- Solid experience in private cloud environments.
- Proficiency in Active Directory, GPO, DNS, and File Server.
- Experience with VMware (vSphere, vCenter), RHEV, or Hyper-V environments.
- Advanced knowledge of Linux (Red Hat/CentOS) and Windows Server operating systems.
- Experience with disaster recovery solutions such as ZERTO.
- Experience with monitoring tools (Zabbix, Grafana).
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, VLAN, NAT, routing, and network troubleshooting.
- Experience with bare-metal servers and storage systems (RAID, iSCSI, NFS).
- Ability to work with critical and high-availability environments.
- Knowledge of information security as applied to infrastructure.
- Experience with hybrid environments (integration with public clouds).
- Certifications: VMware VCP, RHCSA/RHCE, Microsoft certifications, Zabbix, ITIL.
- Experience with automation (Ansible, Bash, PowerShell).
