About the role
- Design and implement ledger and accounting workflows
- Build event-driven services and transaction pipelines
- Develop backend APIs for mobile and internal systems
- Integrate identity, verification, and value movement systems
- Define and enforce system invariants and data correctness rules
- Implement monitoring, observability, and reliability tooling
- Write high-quality, well-tested backend code
- Collaborate closely with the Lead Engineer on architecture and delivery
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in Go, Rust, or similar systems-oriented languages
- Experience building transactional or correctness-critical backend systems
- Strong understanding of databases, indexing, and consistency guarantees
- Experience with event-driven systems and workflow orchestration
- Experience integrating external APIs reliably
- Strong debugging and operational skills
- Ability to work independently in a senior, lean engineering team
- Currently working at a product-based organisation
