About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Leading and developing a fast-paced engineering team, providing clear direction, feedback, mentorship, and coaching
- Owning planning and execution across projects while helping engineers stay unblocked, focused, and aligned
- Defining and evolving our hiring process, standards, and team structure as we grow
- Building the processes, expectations, and culture that will support CivilGrid's next phase of growth
Requirements
What you’ll need- You’re technical and have minimum 3 years experience in engineering leadership
- Proven track record of growing and managing high-performing engineering teams
- Comfortable in a greenfield environment and excited to shape, design, and stand up new systems
- Strong communication skills - verbal and written
- Have a few war stories to share on running high scale production systems
- Bonus: BS/MS in Computer Science or similar
- Bonus: Prior startup or founder experience
