Advise on legal aspects encountered by CivicPlus
Maintain knowledge of Company’s operations and legal documents
Anticipates and identifies legal issues
Manage legal considerations for all Company departments
Support Company M&A objectives
Provide leadership and oversight of the Company’s Enterprise Risk Management Program
Advise and lead cross-functional teams
Manage and maintain the Company’s commercial insurance policies
Develop and communicate best practices for compliance
Establish and oversee outside counsel engagements
Build, develop and oversee the legal department.

Requirements

Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
Bar membership with good standing in at least one state
Minimum 5+ years transactional legal experience
Strong negotiation skills
Understanding of government business practices
M&A experience
Strong commitment to detail and prioritization skills
Excellent interpersonal, analytical, drafting and communication skills
In-depth understanding of technology, SAAS, and open source licensing and platforms.
Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
