About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the planning and delivery of complex election and registration projects for local authority clients
  • Act as a senior point of contact, building trusted, long-term partnerships
  • Represent CES as the lead across consortiums, coordinating multi-authority collaboration and alignment
  • Use your deep knowledge of the UK electoral landscape to advise clients, anticipate risks, and optimise delivery
  • Provide strategic guidance on how clients can maximise value from CES services
  • Act as a subject matter expert and escalation point for complex or sensitive issues
  • Mentor and coach team members, building capability, confidence, and consistency
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and act as a senior sounding board within the team
  • Role model best practice and high performance standards
  • Support the day-to-day running of the Local Authority Team, contributing to planning and priorities
  • Own and enhance internal tools, processes, or service areas to improve quality and efficiency
  • Contribute to service innovation, pilots, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Oversee multiple concurrent projects, balancing priorities with sound judgement
  • Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards, timelines, and client expectations
  • Confidently represent Civica in senior client engagements, both virtually and in person

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong experience managing complex client delivery in a consultancy or operational environment
  • PRINCE2 Practitioner
  • Excellent communication skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure while maintaining high standards
  • Strong judgement and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • Demonstrated mentoring and coaching capability
  • Deep knowledge of UK election and voter registration processes
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage escalated or sensitive issues
  • High levels of professionalism, discretion, and emotional intelligence
  • Collaborative mindset with the confidence to influence team direction and ways of working
