About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead, coordinate, and support the daily operations of CFS service delivery within the assigned area, ensuring alignment with federal and state outcomes for safety, permanency, and well being.
- Serve as a key member of the service area leadership team, partnering with the Service Area Administrator to implement strategic goals and operational priorities.
- Provide direct leadership to CFS Supervisors, ensuring consistent application of policies, procedures, and standards across units.
- Monitor service delivery performance using data to inform decision making; identify trends, develop action plans, and drive continuous quality improvement.
- Guide and mentor supervisors and staff to support professional development, accountability, teamwork, and consistent, high quality service delivery.
- Collaborate with other Administrators, Quality Assurance, Program Specialists, partner agencies, and community stakeholders to improve processes and resolve service delivery challenges.
- Oversee implementation of statewide initiatives, program improvements, and workflow changes.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation, data integrity, and compliance with state and federal requirements.
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings, workgroups, and training efforts to ensure alignment across the service area.
- Assist with budget planning, resource allocation, and operational readiness for staff and service needs.
- Represent the service area in cross division and statewide discussions, sharing feedback, identifying barriers, and contributing to policy and operational improvement.
- Travel as needed to support units, attend meetings, or engage community partners.
- Participate in an on call, including after hours, weekends, and holidays, to provide leadership support and respond to urgent operational needs.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in social services, business administration, public administration, human development, human services, behavioral health, law, special education, or other closely related field AND two years supervisory experience in a human services field; OR a Master’s degree in any of the above-mentioned fields
- Equivalent experience or coursework/training may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
- Experience implementing workflow processes or operational improvements.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with cross‑agency collaboration or system improvement efforts.
- Ability to lead through influence, coach teams, and maintain strong working relationships across organizational levels.
