About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Help manage and improve data systems that support Nebraska’s child welfare programs
- Design, maintain, and analyze databases
- Build dashboards that inform decision-making
- Ensure accurate state and federal reporting
- Create, maintain, and troubleshoot relational databases
- Develop and run SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts
- Automate extract-transform-load (ETL) processes
- Build advanced dashboards and reports in Power BI and Excel
- Conduct statistical and predictive modeling using R or Python
- Develop automated processes for compiling and submitting federal reports.
- Monitor reporting systems for errors
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate Degree in Computer Science/IT
- One year of experience in related area
- Strong technical skills in SQL, Power BI, and Excel
- Familiarity with Snowflake, DBX, or similar data warehouse environments
- Experience designing dashboards and reporting solutions
- Familiarity with child welfare or human services data systems
- Knowledge of statistical analysis tools such as R or Python
