Software Engineer

• Provide technical engineering support and perform field investigations for the Transportation Department
• Assist the Project Manager and/or Transportation Engineer in reviewing and resolving project design issues
• Perform field investigations of roads and intersections for signage, pothole and erosion control issues
• Pilot drones to film and photograph construction projects
• Assist with development plan reviews related to transportation issues
• Conduct GIS analysis of transportation related issues
• Prepare or review intersection improvement, signalization and signing and marking plans
• Assist in conducting speed studies, stop warrants for intersections and accident analysis
• Communicate with supervisor and other departments to coordinate work activities
