About the role

  • Provide engineering support in a diverse range of projects under the guidance of a licensed Professional Engineer.
  • Carry out engineering studies/reviews and data analysis.
  • Prepare technical reports and follow a work plan that provides detailed objectives and duties by specific departments.

Requirements

  • Completion of 4 year university degree in an engineering program accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB).
  • Specific and general knowledge in the field of application related to the department.
  • Engineering standards for Ontario/Canada and related to the field of expertise.
  • Familiarity of various engineering standards, bylaws and related national and provincial codes, applicable acts, legislations, regulations and guidelines.
  • Current and advanced engineering technologies, processes and design.
  • Project management principles and practices.
  • Analytical techniques.
  • Applied research techniques (pilot plant, bench-scale, etc.): set-up, operation, analysis.
  • Customer service management.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Outlook, etc.).
  • Field investigation and surveying techniques.
  • Knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation, including the rights and duties of workers.
