About the role
- Provide engineering support in a diverse range of projects under the guidance of a licensed Professional Engineer.
- Carry out engineering studies/reviews and data analysis.
- Prepare technical reports and follow a work plan that provides detailed objectives and duties by specific departments.
Requirements
- Completion of 4 year university degree in an engineering program accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB).
- Specific and general knowledge in the field of application related to the department.
- Engineering standards for Ontario/Canada and related to the field of expertise.
- Familiarity of various engineering standards, bylaws and related national and provincial codes, applicable acts, legislations, regulations and guidelines.
- Current and advanced engineering technologies, processes and design.
- Project management principles and practices.
- Analytical techniques.
- Applied research techniques (pilot plant, bench-scale, etc.): set-up, operation, analysis.
- Customer service management.
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Outlook, etc.).
- Field investigation and surveying techniques.
- Knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation, including the rights and duties of workers.
