About the role

  • Responsible for the administration of Vacant Unit Tax (VUT).
  • Building public awareness of the VUT declaration process.
  • Ensuring vacant residences are taxed accurately through timely billing and auditing of occupancy declarations.
  • Providing customer service and clerical support within the Vacant Unit Tax Unit of Revenue Services.

Requirements

  • Completion of Grade 12.
  • Minimum of 6 months of clerical and/or customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of office/clerical and reception procedures.
  • Knowledge of municipal finance, assessment and property tax legislation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of Corporate Records Management Program.
  • Knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation, including the rights and duties of workers.
