About the role
- Responsible for the administration of Vacant Unit Tax (VUT).
- Building public awareness of the VUT declaration process.
- Ensuring vacant residences are taxed accurately through timely billing and auditing of occupancy declarations.
- Providing customer service and clerical support within the Vacant Unit Tax Unit of Revenue Services.
Requirements
- Completion of Grade 12.
- Minimum of 6 months of clerical and/or customer service experience.
- Knowledge of office/clerical and reception procedures.
- Knowledge of municipal finance, assessment and property tax legislation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Knowledge of Corporate Records Management Program.
- Knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation, including the rights and duties of workers.
