About the role
- Develop and drive category specific strategies in Medsurg with a focus on "best value".
- Drive strategic sourcing best practices, including RFx activities.
- Establish/maintain supplier partnerships and identify supply risks and opportunities.
- Conduct RFx events, supplier evaluations, contract negotiations, and cost analysis.
- Partner with Purchasing Operations and Materials Management to resolve supply shortages.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to support standardization initiatives and product evaluations.
- Implement and manage service level agreements (SLAs) and supplier KPIs.
Requirements
- Five (5) or more years of experience in Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, consulting, or related functional roles, ideally within healthcare.
- Experience in healthcare supply chain or sourcing roles, with Med‑Surg experience strongly preferred.
- Strong negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with clinical and operational teams.
- Proficiency in Excel, analytics tools, contract management, and cost‑analysis techniques.
