About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide detail design services for municipal infrastructure projects
Conduct and oversee functional planning of engineering elements for municipal infrastructure projects
Produce detailed final engineering design drawings manually and by computer
Prepare drainage areas, volume calculations, designs calculations, and hydraulic flow sheets
Review and respond to engineering designs prepared by staff and private engineering consultant

Requirements

What you’ll need

Demonstrated experience in Civil Engineering and/or Architectural Technology
Minimum three (3) year Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Preferred CET specializing in Civil Engineering or eligibility for membership in the OACETT
Proven knowledge in design/construction of municipal infrastructure
Knowledge and understanding of relevant regulations, standard specifications, and practices
Knowledge of Asset Management operation software i.e. Hansen, WIMS, PRISM, GeoMedia/GIS
