About the role
- Promote, protect and preserve the health of populations
- Provide nursing care to school communities
- Collaborate with school staff, parents/caregivers, and community partners
- Implement programs and interventions for health education and counseling
- Fulfill assigned roles in response to public health emergencies
- Conduct assessments to identify health concerns and collaborate on care plans
Requirements
- Entitled by the College of Nurses of Ontario to practice as a Registered Nurse
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a recognized program
- Demonstrated ability to communicate fluently in French (written and verbal)
- Demonstrated knowledge of public health nursing
- Previous experience in public health nursing preferred
- Valid Class “G” Driver’s Licence
- Provision of a vehicle for use on the job
