Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for overall supervision, planning, direction, and execution of work for employees in Dallas Water Utility
Provides leadership, expertise, and direction in water distribution activities
Hires, trains, and evaluates performance of staff
Participates in the development of long-range plans, programs, and schedules
Identifies and addresses issues with water distribution methods and facilities
Plans and coordinates maintenance activities
Monitors and oversees plant and facility performance
Resolves employee complaints and grievances
Implements methods to improve production or effectiveness

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or GED
Six (6) years of experience in Water/Wastewater/Stormwater areas
Two (2) years of experience with lead/supervisor responsibilities
Valid driver's license with good driving record
May require specific licensure from Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) at time of application or within probationary period.
