Key responsibilities & impact

Performs moderately complex management or oversight activities for daily operations of an operating unit or functional program
Develops guidelines, procedures, rules and regulations
Plans, assigns, and supervises the work of others
Ensures accuracy, accountability, and efficiency in enforcement actions
Manages quality and accuracy in reporting
Provides training and ensures all code enforcement personnel are properly certified
Serves as the acting official departmental representative to other City departments

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in any field
Four (4) years of experience in interpreting and/or enforcing city, county, state, or federal codes, business/public administration, policy implementation, regulatory compliance, legal or paralegal work, urban planning
Two (2) years of supervisory/project management experience
Valid and current driver's license with good driving record
Certification as a Registered Code Enforcement Officer within six (6) months of appointment
