About the role

  • Leads, supports, coordinates, and directs various crews in the performance of different tasks for the department.
  • Organizes, prepares, and issues daily work assignments for crewmembers.
  • Provides on-site job training and ensures proper, safe, and efficient work methods of crew members.
  • Operates a roto boom to collect bulky brush items set out by citizens in the City of Dallas.
  • Handles and responds to citizens’ complaints or concerns.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Three (3) years of experience in heavy equipment operation (e.g., excavator, track/wheeled loader, bulldozer, motor grader, rotoboom).
  • Some supervisory/leadwork experience.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
