Accountant

• Prepares account reconciliations, identifies outstanding items outside of policy, and processes necessary corrections through journal entries
• Analyzes discrepancies, researches reports, and applies judgment to recommend and implement appropriate resolutions
• Coordinates with departments to distribute reconciliations and ensures timely resolution of outstanding items
• Maintains accurate and complete documentation to support reconciliations, journal entries, and adjustments
• Monitors and escalates discrepancies that exceed policy-defined thresholds to appropriate personnel
• Ensures compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements when preparing journal entries
• Assists with audits and regulatory examinations by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries
• Participates in required training to stay current on company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements
