About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support people recovering from illness, injury or hospital admission
- Encourage and motivate clients to complete everyday tasks independently
- Assist with walking, transfers and exercises prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Support people in preparing their own meals and drinks where possible
- Prompt and encourage safe medication routines
- Help clients relearn household tasks such as cleaning, laundry and maintaining their home
- Build confidence in accessing local services, activities and social opportunities
- Observe improvements, identify setbacks and report changes appropriately
- Document progress towards individual goals and celebrate milestones along the way
Requirements
What you’ll need- Full UK driving licence
- Access to your own vehicle
- Right to work in the UK
- Ideally at least 6 months of care experience
