About the role
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
- Estimate costs, manage the budget, and track expenses to ensure the project remains financially viable.
- Manage and provide guidance to sub-contractors and internal staff.
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes, health and safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and engineers, providing regular progress updates.
- Negotiate contracts and manage the acquisition of materials and equipment.
- Identify potential project risks and develop contingency plans to minimize delays.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in construction project management (Commercial/Residential/Industrial).
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or Primavera P6) and AutoCAD.
- PMP or CCM (Certified Construction Manager) is a strong plus.
- Ability to command respect on-site and motivate a diverse team.
- Quick decision-making skills when faced with unexpected site conditions.
- Strong verbal and written skills for reporting and negotiation.
- A "keen eye" for quality control and structural integrity.
