About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • drive new client acquisition across the FinTech sector
  • develop deep expertise in payment intermediaries, merchant acquirers, payment processors
  • navigate complexity of client's flows and recommend products
  • present to compliance and risk committee to onboard PI entity
  • interpret legal opinions and review risks of PI's counterparties
  • develop and execute outbound business development strategies
  • represent Citi at industry conferences and forums
  • advise clients proactively by sharing relevant market intelligence
  • collaborate with product specialists to structure solutions
  • identify and develop cross-sell opportunities
  • oversee the credit relationship for each client

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of experience in commercial banking (with at least 5+ years in the fintech)
  • strong knowledge of fintech and payments infrastructure
  • ability to evaluate client business models
  • credit skills including structuring complex credit transactions
  • deep knowledge of banking and investment products
  • FINRA Series 79, 63, and SIE licenses, or the commitment and eligibility to obtain them upon joining
  • ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders
  • strong interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills
  • comfort with data-driven decision-making
