About the role
- Manage multiple teams through other managers and provide full management responsibility for multiple teams, including people, budget and planning.
- Ensure managed areas define and implement systems aligned with business strategy and goals.
- Execute functional strategy and determine approach to implementing functional strategy.
- Accountable for end results, budgeting, planning, policy formulation and contribution to future strategy of the area(s).
- Resolve broad based and complex issues and apply comprehensive understanding across multiple functional areas.
- Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complex, unique and dynamic situations.
- Influence and negotiate with senior leaders and communicate with external parties as needed.
- Assess risk for business decisions, drive compliance with laws, rules and regulations, and manage and report control issues with transparency.
- Supervise activities of others, create accountability, and handle performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations.
- Impact technology sub-function by exercising control over resources, budget management and planning.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in multiple technology disciplines with extensive experience in business, functional and people management.
- Budget management experience.
- Risk & Control management experience.
- Experience in automated testing.
- Managerial experience (managing multiple teams through other managers).
- Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally at a senior level.
- Bachelor’s/University degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
