About the role
- Drive execution of the assigned projects by defining and actively managing scope and development and management of project plan to ensure on-time project delivery
- Advise and provide direction to organizational leaders on methods to improve capabilities
- Develop curriculum for a virtual organization
- Leverage, promote, and communicate PM best practices across the organization
- Manage and enable team members to achieve organizational objectives
- Prepare, support and help individuals/teams drive organizational change
- Liaison with Organizational Program Management Office
- Prioritize and juggle multiple deliverables
- Monitor development programs and PM tools -- identify areas of improvement and future training needs
Requirements
- 6-10 years Program/Project Management Experience with significant experience successfully launching large scale initiatives involving multiple business lines/enabling functions
- PMP or ACP certification strongly preferred, Six Sigma a plus.
- Self-starter with experience at handling organizational change in a process-driven project environment
- Comfortable working in environments where you’ll need to manage and engage with teams that need to balance both client-centricity and internal/external controls
- Previous experience at managing individuals
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, able to handle diverse situations, multiple initiatives and changing priorities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence, manage and articulate clearly to project stakeholders and senior management
- Extensive experience working with various control partners and demonstrated success to strict adherence of control framework, policy and procedures
- Lead through influence skills – ability to engage, motivate, drive results, and hold a diverse set of colleagues across the organization accountable for attaining set goals and objectives
- Critical thinker with problem solving capabilities
- Positive, can-do attitude; does what it takes attitude to drive success
- Instinctive care about providing a great experience to your customers
- Attentive to detail and have confidence with project tracking, reports, metrics and presentations.
- You are proficient with MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, or other analytical tools associated with project management
- Strong conceptual and workload management skills
- Experience in Agile methodologies
- Manage client expectations, anticipates operational and tactical risks and tracks them; clarify, identify, and track requirements and issues, remove barriers, resolve minor project issues and escalate to immediate manager where required
- Stays abreast of current industry trends and new technology through professional associations, trade journals, networking, and associated training and seminars.
