Accounting, Reporting Manager
CisionManager, Accounting & Reporting role overseeing SEC filings and financial statement preparation for healthcare tech provider. Collaborates with multiple teams for accuracy in compliance with regulations.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in the preparation and filing of quarterly and annual reports (Forms 10-Q and 10-K) and other SEC filings (Forms 8-K, S-1, S-3, Proxy statements, etc.) in compliance with SEC regulations.
- Work closely with the Director, Accounting and SVP, Corporate Controller in the preparation of the consolidated financial statements and footnotes in accordance with US GAAP.
- Research and analyze complex accounting issues and provide guidance on the interpretation of relevant accounting standards (ASC 606, ASC 718, ASC 350, etc.).
- Ability to concisely summarize complex issues in the form of technical accounting memos for numerous stakeholders’ review.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, investor relations, and external auditors, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the financial reporting process.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed, specifically the potential accounting impact of complex transactions.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification is required.
- 5+ years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) or a mix of public accounting and corporate SEC reporting.
- Direct experience with SEC filings and XBRL tagging preferred.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC regulations, and disclosure requirements.
- Proficiency in financial reporting software (i.e. Workiva) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
