About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build strong trust-based customer relationships
Apply technical expertise to design and implement sophisticated Data Centre and networking solutions
Contribute to the design and implementation of Cisco Data Centre technologies for large and complex customer network environments
Leverage innovative technology to solve business problems and deliver scalable, robust services
Integrate emerging AI and automation methods into delivery practices
Automate manual deployment processes and support infrastructure-as-code platforms
Analyze and monitor network performance, providing options for optimization, efficiency, and capability improvements
Support complex problem resolution across a broad range of Data Centre technologies
Develop digital intellectual capital, repeatable delivery frameworks, and knowledge-sharing practices
Provide critical feedback to Engineering and Product organizations to influence future product roadmaps
Collaborate with Cisco account teams, partners, and multifunctional groups to drive technology transitions and deliver business outcomes

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent, with 7+ years of relevant experience in customer-facing technical consulting, pre-sales, and/or service delivery roles
Deep knowledge of L2/L3 networking protocols and technologies, including vPC, STP, HSRP, OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP
Strong hands-on Nexus 2K/5K/7K/9K platform experience
Experience designing and deploying Data Centre solutions, including standalone Nexus, Cisco VXLAN Fabric, and Cisco ACI Fabric solutions using ACI MultiPod, Multisite, and Remote Leaf architectures
Experience integrating firewalls, IPS, load balancers, and WAN optimizers within Data Centre solution designs
Professional-level certification such as CCNP or Cisco DevNet, or equivalent vendor certification such as VCP, expected
Strong communication and planning skills
Self-motivated with a focus on execution
Knowledge of software programmability, automation, orchestration, and/or virtualization technologies
Experience with Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar automation tools
Experience with compute, virtualization, and container environments including Cisco UCS, HyperFlex, VMware, Microsoft, and Kubernetes
Technical familiarity with multi-cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud from a network integration perspective
Current active UK Government Security Clearance, or willingness to be put forward for one, advantageous
