About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Validate and optimize complex, data-intensive networking and cloud platforms powering Cisco CX Engineering
Identify performance bottlenecks early
Leverage AI-assisted automation for performance testing
Utilize deep telemetry to drive proactive system reliability
Develop utilities and custom scripts in Python or Java
Execute automated performance tests
Conduct load, stress, endurance, spike, and benchmarking tests
Audit UI performance
Test hybrid SaaS and on-premise environments
Monitor logs and system performance using tools such as Splunk
Collaborate with quality engineering teams across the US and India
Contribute to scalable and resilient CX Platform technology

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of related experience, or Master’s degree plus 3 years of related experience, or PhD plus 0 years of related experience, or equivalent related work experience
Expertise in performance testing methodologies: load, stress, endurance, spike, and benchmarking
Experience with JMeter, NeoLoad, or LoadRunner, including UI performance auditing techniques
Proficiency in Python or Java for utility creation, custom script development, and test automation execution
Experience with hybrid environments, including SaaS and on-premise
Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems
Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure
Experience with log monitoring tools such as Splunk
Strong understanding of core networking concepts and protocols
Applied experience with AI tools and agentic AI approaches preferred
AWS certification preferred
Hands-on experience with observability/APM tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, or Grafana preferred
Strong communication and documentation skills preferred
Sense of ownership, drive, and attention to detail preferred
