About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build trusted, strategic relationships with partner executives and their Solutions Engineers
  • Develop partner strategy through joint business planning and identify technical growth opportunities
  • Provide technical enablement to partner SEs through training, workshops, certification support, and demo/PoC guidance
  • Coordinate with Cisco regional field team SEs to align on deals, share best practices, and drive consistent architectural direction
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor across Cisco’s portfolio from solution design through operationalization and value realization
  • Position the value of Cisco solutions and articulate differentiation to technical and business decision-makers
  • Champion the partner voice within Cisco to influence resources, enablement strategy, and future direction
  • Partner with Partner Account Executives and collaborate across regional field teams and partner organizations to drive brand preference and growth

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical pre-sales, design, or solutions role
  • Portfolio breadth across Enterprise Networking, Security, Collaboration, and Data Center Networking, with strong emphasis on Enterprise Networking
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to engage and influence partner executives and Solutions Engineers
  • CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent networking certification
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to meet partners and attend events
  • Must be authorized to work in the US; position does not provide sponsorship
  • Prior experience working with partners/channel or as a partner-side SE preferred
  • Understanding of partner business models and managed services preferred
  • Additional certifications such as CCIE, CCDE, DevNet, AWS, Google, or Terraform preferred
  • API, programmability, and automation knowledge preferred
  • Competitive product knowledge including HPE/Aruba, Juniper, Arista, and Fortinet preferred
