About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a trusted technical advisor for Cisco Security solutions
- Partner with Account Managers to execute strategic sales plans
- Conduct technical discovery sessions to identify pain points and define business requirements
- Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and proofs-of-concept
- Design and architect comprehensive solutions across Network, Cloud, Endpoint, and Security Operations
- Provide technical expertise from initial engagement through successful deployment
- Maintain deep knowledge of the evolving threat landscape
- Provide proactive cybersecurity counsel to customers
- Support customers onsite as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years of experience in a technical sales, systems engineering, or technical customer-facing role within cybersecurity
- Experience applying security principles, protocols, and technologies, including Firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, SIEM, SASE, Zero Trust, and SD-WAN
- Experience designing and implementing complex security architectures
- Experience performing technical troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving
- Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CCIE Security, CCNP Security, or equivalent
- Experience articulating complex technical concepts to technical and executive audiences
- Consultative selling experience with a track record of building long-term customer relationships
- Experience with cloud security platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Experience with SaaS security models
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying ahead of emerging security threats and technologies
