About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and drive technology design, deployment, optimization, migration, and troubleshooting of Cisco security solutions
- Integrate Cisco security solutions with customer environments and third-party systems
- Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle
- Architect security solutions, guide migrations, validate designs, and provide proactive problem resolution, escalation support, and technical guidance
- Build and review HLD, LLD, and Implementation/Change Management Plans
- Build customer simulations in the lab to deliver scalable and resilient solutions
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to align security strategy and support presales activities
- Translate business requirements into innovative, customer-focused solution designs
- Leverage AI and automation to optimize workflows and reduce operational overhead
- Identify opportunities for broader team adoption of AI and automation
- Ensure AI-informed work meets high standards of accuracy and impact
- Identify emerging security trends, mentor team members, and champion best practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- 7+ years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, and troubleshooting Cisco Security solutions
- Experience with Cisco Firewalls, Cisco-ISE, Cisco Secure Workload, Email and Web Security, Secure Network Analytics, or Cisco Secure Access
- Proven migration experience with Cisco and competitive security products in enterprise or service provider environments
- Knowledge of cloud security architecture and deployment on at least one major cloud platform: GCP, Azure, or AWS
- Experience using AI and automation tools to enhance security operations, optimize workflows, and drive operational efficiency
- Willingness to work a swing shift supporting customers across the Americas region
- Preferred: Professional-level CCNP, Expert-level CCIE Security or equivalent, CISSP/CCSA
- Preferred: Cloud Security certification such as AWS, Azure Security, or GCP
- Preferred: Security Reference Architecture experience, such as ZTNA, NIST, 3GPP, ETSI, or AI Infrastructure
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience working in diverse, cross-functional teams
