About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collaborate with engineers and product managers on small-to-medium, well-scoped software features from technical build through completion
  • Apply the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, development, implementation, testing, code review, release, and documentation
  • Write clean, secure, and maintainable code with mentorship
  • Add relevant tests and evaluate changes for correctness, reliability, and performance
  • Debug and solve issues throughout development
  • Participate in incident triage and post-incident learning
  • Participate in a supported on-call rotation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completion within the past 3 years, or current enrollment with expected completion within 12 months, of a certification or degree program
  • One qualifying pathway: Associate degree, apprenticeship, boot camp, or specialized certification plus 3 years of relevant experience
  • One qualifying pathway: High school diploma plus 4 years of relevant experience
  • One qualifying pathway: Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of relevant experience
  • One qualifying pathway: Master’s degree plus 0 years of relevant experience
  • Relevant field such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Preferred coursework, internship, or project experience in distributed systems, networking, operating systems, databases, streaming systems, or high-throughput data processing
  • Preferred exposure to containers, Kubernetes, public cloud platforms, CI/CD, or software deployed in customer-managed environments
  • Preferred experience investigating failures or measuring performance with logs, metrics, traces, or other observability signals
  • Interest in secure and serviceable production software
