About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead architecture and technical direction for build and deploy systems meeting FedRAMP High and DoD IL5 requirements
- Design, implement, and operate scalable, available, high-quality build systems
- Translate security and compliance requirements into access control, audit logging, secret management, vulnerability response, and evidence collection
- Work with product engineering teams to monitor and maintain build health and accuracy
- Collaborate with SRE to ensure build-system scalability and availability
- Prevent, predict, and respond to issues while coordinating triage and remediation across product teams
- Contribute production code, design reviews, code reviews, mentoring, debugging, and operational improvements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree combined with 8 years of experience in development, build, and release engineering or computer science, or Master's Degree combined with 6+ years of related experience, or PhD combined with 3 years of similar experience
- Experience developing and configuring modular build/deploy systems and source control tools for CI/CD
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Shell, Groovy, Ruby, or Python
- Experience using containers in build environments
- Experience with AWS, Artifactory, Docker, and/or Kubernetes
- Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and React toolchains and pipelines
- Experience with Ruby on Rails and RSpec pipelines
- Preferred: experience with FedRAMP, DoD IL4/IL5, FISMA, GovRAMP, or similar regulated environments
- Preferred: experience with database maintenance and production migrations
- Preferred: experience with Elastic Stack and Grafana
- Preferred: experience with automated testing frameworks such as RSpec, Jest, or Cypress
- Preferred: experience leading technical projects or providing technical direction across a team
- Must be a U.S. Person for work on U.S. Government classified environments; certain work may require U.S. citizenship on U.S. soil
