About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead creation, definition, communication and execution of key USPS Engineering priorities aligned to USPS and Americas/WW Engineering priorities
Own the USPS Engineering operating calendar, including regular senior engineering leadership calls, DE/PE calls, SE Leader meetings and SE all-hands as examples
Ensure clear communication and timely execution of key activities and deadlines related to recognition, development, initiatives, etc.
Own and continually improve these processes to reduce noise and firedrills and improve our efficiency and outcomes
Ensure SEs and SE Leaders are enabled with the tools, data and training to execute all core growth priorities and transformational initiatives
Maintain a pulse on the engineering organization
Act as a representative of the USPS Engineering organization in cross-functional forums
Lead key processes to align the USPS architecture teams with the portfolio team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Field Sales Engineering experience with a consistent track record of success
Deep understanding of Cisco's portfolio, tools, processes and sales motions including software sales (land/adopt/expand/renew)
5+ years of validated experience in leading operations, program management or strategy development
Experience working with Federal, State and Local Governments or Education customers (Higher Education or K12)
Experience working in large, sophisticated organizations
Successful track record of outstanding performance and strong leadership skills
Strong process and change management orientation, with a consistent record of solving sophisticated business problems and crafting viable solutions
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
