About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Resolve complex, multidisciplinary issues by proactively identifying and addressing challenges in power delivery circuits and system-level integration
Collaborate with Cisco Business Units and external suppliers to anticipate, document, and validate the performance signatures and behavior of power circuits, including board mount power modules
Use technical expertise and independent thinking to identify contributing factors to design issues and implement necessary corrective actions
Communicate complex technical information effectively within a dynamic, fast-paced environment to support product development and innovation

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering or equivalent fields
5+ years of electronic design, field applications, and/or component engineering experience
Experience resolving issues related to production and field failures
Experience or exposure to technical review for DFM (Design for Manufacturing)
Experience on driving failure analysis to resolve performance and quality issues within complex components and assemblies
Familiarity with IPC-9592B and JESD22 standards on reliability evaluation requirements for Power Conversion Devices and Semiconductor IC/packaged solid state devices
Strong background in power electronics, board design, circuit analysis, PCB layout, hardware debugging, basic digital logic and communication interfaces
Demonstrated competency in driving rigorous quality control measures and continuous improvements
