About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Resolve complex, multidisciplinary issues by proactively identifying and addressing challenges in power delivery circuits and system-level integration
- Collaborate with Cisco Business Units and external suppliers to anticipate, document, and validate the performance signatures and behavior of power circuits, including board mount power modules
- Use technical expertise and independent thinking to identify contributing factors to design issues and implement necessary corrective actions
- Communicate complex technical information effectively within a dynamic, fast-paced environment to support product development and innovation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering or equivalent fields
- 5+ years of electronic design, field applications, and/or component engineering experience
- Experience resolving issues related to production and field failures
- Experience or exposure to technical review for DFM (Design for Manufacturing)
- Experience on driving failure analysis to resolve performance and quality issues within complex components and assemblies
- Familiarity with IPC-9592B and JESD22 standards on reliability evaluation requirements for Power Conversion Devices and Semiconductor IC/packaged solid state devices
- Strong background in power electronics, board design, circuit analysis, PCB layout, hardware debugging, basic digital logic and communication interfaces
- Demonstrated competency in driving rigorous quality control measures and continuous improvements
