About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide technical sales support and recommendations to internal and external customers on the Cisco Security Solutions Portfolio.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, industry trends, and best practices.
- Collaborate with the sales team to deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations of our cybersecurity offerings.
- Establish deep relationships with prospective customers, including key partners and decision-makers.
- Conduct detailed assessments of customer needs, challenges, and existing cybersecurity frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide input on product development, market trends, and customer feedback.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Excellent understanding of cybersecurity concepts, technologies, and best practices
- Consistent track record in a pre-sales or technical sales role within the cybersecurity industry
- Industry certifications such as SABSA, CISSP, CCSP etc and/or a Cisco CCIE Security will be very highly regarded
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field is highly preferred
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically
- Proven ability to build and nurture collaborative relationships
- Hands-on expertise with next-generation firewalls (NGFW), VPN technologies, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), SASE, and security management platforms.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, and cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
