About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Process Engineers support operating facilities and projects through the application of technical engineering knowledge and project management skills.
  • Optimizing facilities to deliver maximum value safely and reliably.
  • Providing technical engineering support for turnarounds and projects.
  • Developing and/or deploying industry leading technologies to reduce carbon, increase efficiency and maximize returns.
  • Using digitalization and data analytics to improve process operations and safety.
  • Entry-level Process Engineers will be enrolled in Chevron’s Horizons Program, an early-career development program combining formal training, on-the-job competency development, mentoring, and multiple job assignments.
  • Engineers in this track will develop competencies to design and optimize systems for separation, purification, transformation, transportation and disposition of hydrocarbons, water and various other process streams by physical and chemical means.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Students completing the last year of the requirements for their bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical engineering; or individuals with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical engineering with two years or less directly related work experience.
  • Strong academic performance in core programs, communication, leadership, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
  • Position may require driving on a routine basis.
  • Ability to demonstrate The Chevron Way.
