About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • own critical leadership, technical innovation, and strategic influence across Cisco’s new and existing critical building operations
  • drive technical strategy & innovation across Cisco’s critical facilities
  • maintain integrity of site-specific drawings, one-line diagrams, and as-built conditions
  • partner with O&M teams to develop and implement robust maintenance policies
  • author and refine critical procedural documents, including Methods of Procedure (MOPs)
  • drive both preventive and corrective maintenance strategies
  • conduct comprehensive lifecycle infrastructure assessments
  • cross-functional collaboration between internal business stakeholders, onsite operation teams, & external vendors

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Technical expertise with a track record in defining industry standards and design specifications for next-generation critical operations
  • Understanding of building automation control strategies specifically for data centers and critical environments
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for complex mechanical and electrical issues
  • Ability to work autonomously and within teams
  • Effective communication of technical concepts in a fast-paced environment
  • Deep proficiency in the design, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex critical infrastructure
  • Experience reviewing 3rd-party engineering designs
  • Experience with 3rd-party independent commissioning processes
  • Understanding of advanced high-density cooling including cooling-to-the-chip (CDUs)
