Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and manage the EDA support team to provide timely and effective technical assistance for EDA tools and related infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and IT teams to ensure EDA environments are optimized for performance and reliability.
  • Develop and implement support processes, best practices, and documentation to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with software vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve complex technical issues and manage software updates and licenses.
  • Monitor system performance, identify potential issues proactively, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage resource allocation, team development, and performance evaluations within the support function.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in EDA technologies to recommend improvements and innovations.
  • Actively engage in hands-on support activities, directly assisting users and resolving complex technical issues to maintain high service levels and operational excellence.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of professional experience in supporting Electronic Design Automation tools and environments.
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Strong technical knowledge of EDA software suites and hardware platforms used in electronic design.
  • Experience in team leadership and managing technical support operations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with software license management and vendor coordination.
  • Background in electronic engineering or related technical field.
  • Experience with scripting or automation (e.g., Python, SKILL, Tcl) to streamline support tasks.
  • Experience with LSF or other compute cluster management systems.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies.
  • Ability to analyze system performance metrics and implement optimizations.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, strong partnership skills, and a commitment to participating in "Best Practice" teams and peer group reviews.
