Key responsibilities & impact

Provide technically competent Loss Control Services in accordance with company policies and procedures
Provide support services within the territory to help acquire and retain profitable business
Conduct loss control services and training for customers to help reduce losses
Maintain specialized state-of-the-art professional capabilities in loss control support for workers' compensation products
Accomplish risk improvement by providing management consultation services
Develop recommendations for hazard control
Survey and service commercial risks of any size and/or complexity for workers' compensation coverage
Meet or exceed all service standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree
7 to 9 years of loss control experience working for a major writer of workers' compensation insurance is preferred
Strong workers' compensation knowledge
Ability to conduct training programs and classes for clients
Basic knowledge of underwriting and product management skills
Broad knowledge of commercial lines of insurance coverage, engineering principles, loss control concepts, and safety standards and codes
Strong industry designations (e.g., Associate in Risk Management, Certified Engineering Technician, Certified Safety Professional) considered
Extensive use of computers and software programs is required
