About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Engage early during the pre-production ramp phase to influence design for manufacturability
  • Manage the full sustaining lifecycle of silicon products, ensuring stability, cost-efficiency, and quality from post-NPI through EOL.
  • Partner with Test and Product Engineering to drive silicon yield improvements, root-cause analysis and closure for yield excursions, and implement corrective actions cross functionally.
  • Lead the coordination, implementation, and validation of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to ensure product integrity and minimal disruption to the supply chain.
  • Manage the qualification process for second-source assembly, test, and critical BOM components, ensuring technical parity and supply chain resilience.
  • Ensure post-ramp stabilization and guard-band optimization.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve field quality issues, process deviations, and manufacturing bottlenecks.
  • Manage the End of Life process, including last-time-buy coordination, inventory management, and customer transition planning.
  • Own key performance indicators (KPIs) related to product cost, quality, and delivery, driving continuous improvement in production processes.
  • Provide regular status updates to senior management regarding product health, cost-reduction initiatives, and supply chain risks.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in semiconductor production, sustaining engineering, or high-tech program management.
  • Proven track record in managing silicon yield improvement, ECO processes, and manufacturing qualifications.
  • Strong knowledge of semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) operations and quality/reliability standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex technical issues.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Experience in managing product transitions and EOL strategies.
  • PMP, Agile, or similar project management certification preferred.
  • Understanding silicon failure analysis and reliability testing.
  • Experience with supply chain operations and vendor management.
  • Black Belt in Six Sigma or equivalent process management is a plus.
  • Proficiency in program management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira).
