About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assists with accurate analysis of basic company or statistical plan changes and the preparation of statistical requirements for internal departments or external agencies
  • Develops data processing system requests to maintain the accuracy of company systems and notify users throughout the company of changes to various statistical plans
  • Analyzes data for validity and accuracy
  • Analyzes statistical errors
  • Recommends and/or initiates action within well-defined objectives
  • Maintains and updates databases, ensuring data is organized and accessible for reporting purposes
  • Develops knowledge of all statistical manuals, statistical plans, coding guides, claims, underwriting, premium audit files, and other related reference materials related to statistical reporting
  • Collaborate with various departments to understand their data reporting needs and deliver customized solutions
  • Presents findings and recommendations to management and other stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
  • Maintains updated knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in data analytics and reporting
  • Develops understanding of industry products/coverages and applies that knowledge to support business activity
  • Develops and maintains documentation for data processes, workflows, reporting standards, and data dictionaries
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Liberal Arts or a related discipline or equivalent experience
  • 3 to 5 years of related experience
  • 3 to 5 years in Worker’s Compensation is preferred
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Proof of Coverage and Policy Error Reporting a plus
