About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Gathers, analyzes, and interprets large volumes of data from multiple sources to support business objectives
  • Ensures data integrity and accuracy by performing regular data audits and validation checks
  • Maintains and updates databases, ensuring data is organized and accessible for reporting purposes
  • Develops, designs, generates and maintains reports, dashboards, and visualizations to provide actionable insights to stakeholders
  • Streamlines and improves data-related processes through available automation tools and applications to improve efficiency
  • Collaborates with departments to understand their data reporting needs and deliver customized solutions
  • Presents findings and recommendations to management and other stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
  • Maintains updated knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in data analytics and reporting
  • Develops and maintains documentation for data processes, workflows, reporting standards, and data dictionaries

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Generally, a minimum of 3 years of experience in data analytics, reporting or a related field
  • At least 1 year of experience working with widely used, industry ‑ standard BI and analytics tools (such as Power BI, Tableau, Sisense, Qlik, or equivalent)
  • Experience writing SQL statements
  • Previous experience in the insurance industry preferred
  • Proficiency in analyzing data sets and identifying patterns, trends, and insights
  • Proficiency in reporting and data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, etc.) and familiarity with scripting languages
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of data sources content and structure to assess the quality of data
  • General knowledge of data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain data insights to non-technical stakeholders as well as senior-level executives
