Key responsibilities & impact

Gathers, analyzes, and interprets large volumes of data from multiple sources to support business objectives
Ensures data integrity and accuracy by performing regular data audits and validation checks
Maintains and updates databases, ensuring data is organized and accessible for reporting purposes
Develops, designs, generates and maintains reports, dashboards, and visualizations to provide actionable insights to stakeholders
Streamlines and improves data-related processes through available automation tools and applications to improve efficiency
Collaborates with departments to understand their data reporting needs and deliver customized solutions
Presents findings and recommendations to management and other stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
Maintains updated knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in data analytics and reporting
Develops and maintains documentation for data processes, workflows, reporting standards, and data dictionaries

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent experience
Generally, a minimum of 3 years of experience in data analytics, reporting or a related field
At least 1 year of experience working with widely used, industry ‑ standard BI and analytics tools (such as Power BI, Tableau, Sisense, Qlik, or equivalent)
Experience writing SQL statements
Previous experience in the insurance industry preferred
Proficiency in analyzing data sets and identifying patterns, trends, and insights
Proficiency in reporting and data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, etc.) and familiarity with scripting languages
Develops and maintains knowledge of data sources content and structure to assess the quality of data
General knowledge of data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain data insights to non-technical stakeholders as well as senior-level executives
