About the role
- Partner with different functions across the division such as engineering, product management, and operations
- Ensure products are designed with DFx methodology, customer quality/reliability requirements
- Develop thorough plans with key milestones and goals
- Identify and mitigate risks, solve for dependencies, remove impediments
- Ensure timely and smooth NPI project launches meeting quality and reliability requirements
- Act as quality product manager for a product
- Actively participate on product core teams
- Drive decisions when difficult tradeoffs must be made
- Teach and train others on best practices
Requirements
- B.S or M.S Degree in electrical or optical engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated Project Management Skills
- Ability to Identify Risk, Translate Risks into Action, and Drive Actions to Closure
- Experience Working with Multi-Functional Design Teams as Part of a Team
- Knowledge of Common Quality Analytics Tools
- Ability to use MS Office Tools especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Demonstrated Data Analysis Skills
- Demonstrated Knowledge of Design for X (DFx) with focus on Reliability, Quality, Manufacturability, and Repair
- Knowledge of Quality Tools, Methods, and Techniques
- Lean/Six Sigma Certification preferred
- Black Belt Certification a Plus
