About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Monitor internal systems, external data, and open-source information for potential security risks
- Perform first-level reviews and triage incidents to assess impact on employees, assets, or operations
- Communicate physical security and safety incidents to partners with urgency and accuracy
- Support research, administrative, and investigative efforts
- Generate detailed incident reports and maintain up-to-date documentation
- Track employee travel to high-risk locations and ensure travel security requirements are met
- Analyze data, investigate incidents, and collaborate with partners to safeguard Cisco employees and assets worldwide
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of experience in a Global Security Operations Center or similar environment OR 4+ years of experience in another physical security role
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work outside regular hours for major incidents or shift coverage
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Customer-focused attitude and passion for service excellence
- Experience in high-tech environments
- Eagerness to learn new tools and processes
- Comfort working in a remote, collaborative team environment
- Willingness to travel occasionally, including internationally, to support Cisco events or GMC operations on-site
