About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Generate opportunities within existing customer and prospect accounts
- Develop prospecting strategies tailored to specific accounts or territories
- Collaborate with sales to generate pipeline within the assigned region
- Design and implement campaigns in partnership with Sales and Marketing
- Enhance the existing campaign library
- Conduct cold outbound prospecting to grow current customers and introduce Splunk's portfolio to new prospects
- Identify relevant initiatives and projects for assigned accounts
- Articulate project importance and demonstrate how Splunk provides valuable solutions
- Create pipeline, communicate, and deliver account plans
- Research and cluster accounts into strategic segments
- Establish new connections within assigned account segments
- Participate as an integral part of the account team and showcase presentation and storytelling abilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1+ years of demonstrated experience in selling or pipeline generation for technology solutions
- Experience with Account-Based Marketing (ABM) is a plus
- Ability to apply specific solutions to customer challenges and recommend appropriate products or services
- Experience managing a sales pipeline and coordinating and monitoring sales activities
- Experience developing and implementing account planning strategies
- Ability to identify key decision-makers, understand customer needs, and tailor sales approaches
- Ability to communicate the value of SaaS solutions concisely
- Ability to evaluate prospects' likelihood of becoming customers
- Successful prospecting experience and ability to secure initial meetings
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities
- Resilience in handling rejection and overcoming obstacles
