About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Follow up with inbound leads and provide status updates through the company CRM system
  • Conduct outbound prospecting and lead generation
  • Qualify leads and schedule product demonstrations
  • Build and foster client relationships through personalized contact
  • Understand client needs and communicate the value of products and services
  • Accurately forecast opportunities based on realistic assessments
  • Meet or exceed assigned revenue goals
  • Partner with field sales representatives across various geographies and territories
  • Support attendance at field marketing events, including Splunk Lives, the National Users Conference, and regional trade shows

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1–2 years of selling experience at meaningful companies/businesses
  • Experience selling enterprise IT solutions preferred, including BI, data analytics, security software, risk management software, or networking performance
  • Experience at a fast-growing software sales company preferred
  • Proven track record of exceeding yearly quota preferred
  • Consultative sales experience and customer-first approach preferred
  • Experience developing and nurturing new business and managing the sales cycle from lead generation through closing preferred
  • Stellar interpersonal skills preferred
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills preferred
  • Strong technical aptitude and computer skills, including CRM systems, Word, Excel, and Salesforce preferred
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks by deadlines preferred
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to a team preferred
  • Excellent communication skills preferred
