Key responsibilities & impact

Lead technical engagements with AI platform and infrastructure customers
Design AI, Service Provider, and Data Center networks at scale
Design AI back-end and front-end networks, including compute, storage, and optics
Apply expertise in Cisco IOS-XR, NX-OS, equivalent operating systems, and open-source NOS such as SONiC
Apply knowledge of BGP, MPLS, EVPN, Segment Routing, optical systems, silicon architecture, ASICs, and system designs
Apply familiarity with AI workloads, large language models, and MLOps tools
Use automation tooling and scripting
Establish trust and credibility through technical excellence
Link architectural vision to account strategy
Stay current on AI industry trends and changes
Lead demand generation and enablement strategy and planning
Identify customer needs and showcase cross-architecture solutions
Lead demonstrations showing how Cisco solutions drive business outcomes
Mobilize stakeholders to drive synergies and optimize customer relationships
Adjust strategies in response to disruptions
Work with AI platform and infrastructure customers as part of Cisco’s Emerging AI & Cloud team

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of experience in technical sales or customer engagement
Expertise in data center networking and service provider markets
Deep technical expertise in Service Provider architectures, including Data Center, Route/Switch, AI-Ready Networking, and Automation
Strong technical expertise in Cisco solutions or equivalent competitor products
Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
Customer-focused mindset
Self-motivated and proactive
Ability to build strong customer relationships and articulate Cisco’s product portfolio
10+ years of hands-on experience adapting and delivering results in high-velocity, advanced technology environments (preferred)
In-depth knowledge of Compute and Optical (desirable)
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent (preferred)
CCIE certification (desirable)
Experience selling solutions to AI platform and infrastructure customers
Proven track record in pre-sales
Ability to work independently
Coding or software development experience (a plus)
Experience with SONiC (highly advantageous)
Comprehensive understanding of Cisco, competitors, technologies, solutions, and market dynamics
Ability to navigate complex technical and sales situations and resolve or escalate challenges
