About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Install, integrate, configure, customize, optimize, and automate Cisco data center networking solutions
Plan and execute network upgrades and migration activities
Write design documents and migration plans
Present solutions to customers remotely and in person
Explain technical issues to technical and non-technical personnel
Provide consultative support to customers
Work effectively with customers and project managers
Manage multiple customer projects simultaneously
Enable customer self-sufficiency on Cisco data center networking products
Travel up to 20% per year, depending on the project
Mentor other consultants within the team

Requirements

What you’ll need

BS, CS, or equivalent university degree
3+ years of meaningful experience in data center compute and networking
Experience with routing and switching on Cisco Nexus platforms
Experience with Cisco NX-OS operating systems
Experience with VXLAN or Cisco ACI
Scripting experience, including Python or Ansible
Use of AI in day-to-day activities and scripting
Good written, verbal, and communication skills
Self-motivated with a focus on execution
Professional-level certification, such as CCNP, or equivalent relevant certification expected
Consultant or consultative experience is a plus
