About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design clear, consistent UI text across flows, including labels, error messages, empty states, onboarding, and tooltips
  • Lead information architecture and navigation design for complex product areas using research to fit user mental models
  • Define and maintain cross-product terminology
  • Partner with product management and product marketing to resolve naming conflicts and drive durable decisions
  • Develop content-led guidelines and reusable patterns for error messaging, capitalization, and in-product help
  • Create and maintain in-product guidance experiences such as walkthroughs and tours to support onboarding and feature adoption
  • Collaborate on design system standards to ensure content patterns are compliant and reusable across the portfolio
  • Partner with design and research on usability studies and card sorting
  • Support product designers with frameworks and AI-assisted tools to maintain quality at scale
  • Work across product design, product management, engineering, research, and marketing teams
  • Contribute to coherent user experiences across security, observability, and platform products

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's plus 5 years of related experience, or Master's plus 3 years of related experience
  • Related experience includes content design and UX writing practice
  • Experience in content design, UX writing, or a closely related field within complex software products
  • Strong command of UI text craft, including clear, concise writing with a consistent voice across diverse UI surfaces
  • Ability to think structurally about information architecture, taxonomy, and navigation
  • Comfort working with Figma and design systems
  • Experience driving cross-functional alignment on terminology and naming decisions with product, marketing, and engineering stakeholders
  • Adaptability and resilience in navigating ambiguity
  • Ability to articulate the strategic value of the discipline to key stakeholders
